Design Challenge

E-commerce furniture sites tend to be cluttered and category-heavy, making it hard for users to find what they actually need. For Lume I wanted to explore a calmer alternative — a navigation that follows the way people naturally think about their home, room by room, rather than forcing them into generic product filters.

Key Design Decisions

Room-based navigation mirrors how people actually think about their space - not by product type, but by where it lives in their home.

Minimal visual system - warm neutrals, clean typography, generous white space - keeps the focus on the furniture itself rather than the interface around it.

Consistent product grid across all room pages creates a predictable, frictionless browsing experience that feels familiar from the first click.

Visual System

Lume's identity is built around warmth and restraint. A neutral color palette, a text-based wordmark, and a deliberate typography pairing create a brand that feels considered without being loud - letting the products speak first.
